I'm Rizwan Karim Rafat, a Machine Learning Developer with a strong foundation in
data science, artificial intelligence, and applied analytics. I specialize in building intelligent
systems that bridge the gap between research and real-world impact - from predictive analytics in
business environments to deep learning models for robotics and reinforcement learning. My academic
journey, earning a Master's in Data Science (AI & ML) from Western Sydney University, shaped my
expertise in modern ML frameworks, data pipelines, and MLOps.
Professionally, I've worked across three continents - from optimizing hotel operations at Wyndham Hotels
& Resorts (Canada) using Python-based forecasting models, to improving infrastructure reliability at
Geeks2U (Australia) through automation, and designing analytical dashboards at Honda (Bangladesh) that
improved business decisions. These diverse experiences have helped me combine analytical precision with
an engineer's mindset for problem-solving, data-driven optimization, and system scalability.
Beyond industry work, I've developed several applied AI projects, including robotic grasp control using
3D point-cloud data with a 93.6% success rate, reinforcement learning agents for predictive gaming
environments, and neural network models for temperature prediction and image generation. Each project
reflects my curiosity for experimentation and my commitment to translating complex AI ideas into
deployable, measurable outcomes.
Outside of my professional life, I love doing street photography whenever I get the chance. It's my way
to destress and capture the beauty of everyday life through my lens.
